Bari is seeking a new stadium for the 2026-27 season. The team has decided not to use the Altamura stadium, which would have cost 38,000 euros for the season. Mayor Vito Leccese has not yet signed the letter of availability for San Nicola, but the issue will be addressed directly with the sole administrator of Ssc Bari, Luigi De Laurentiis, in the coming week. The commission is also evaluating the offer of the biancorosso club, the only participant in the five-year concession of the stadium. In the meantime, the club has taken information on the costs of a possible transfer to Altamura, which would have been preferred over other destinations such as Barletta or Salerno. However, every match at the 'Tonino D'Angelo' stadium in the Murgian city would cost Bari 2,000 euros for a total of 38,000 euros if all matches of the 2026-27 tournament were played in Altamura. The intention, however, is to smooth out the current wall between the municipal administration and the sports society and indicate San Nicola as the definitive venue. If the green light for the five-year concession is not received, a temporary use agreement can be adopted, just like it has already been done for summer concerts. In this case, Bari would pay around 3,000 euros per match in Serie C and around 5,700 in B.
