SSC Bari must pay 300,000 euros for five concerts at San Nicola stadium. Bari City Council has chosen not to proceed with a concession extension. The decision was made to avoid a damage to the city's image and inconveniences for over 200,000 fans already in possession of tickets. San Nicola stadium is a public good of the Bari community and will remain so. This decision does not change in any way the administration's position on the future of the stadium and the relationship with SSC Bari. The request to President Luigi De Laurentiis to inform both us and the city of the plans for the future of the club and the transfer of ownership, in accordance with federal regulations that set a deadline of 2028 for the cessation of multiproprieties in football, remains unchanged. During the use of the facility, the mandatory technical checks of the entire complex, including the grass, lighting and structures, will continue to be carried out, as provided for by the regulations at the end of each concession period, as explicitly stated in a letter sent by the offices to the company on May 29 last for the release of the property. In the meantime, I am meeting with the councilors of the majority and minority and the representatives of the fan associations. The path that this city must take towards SSC Bari cannot be an autonomous decision of the mayor: it must be a collective and transparent choice. A choice of the city of Bari.
